From our first site meeting with Darren to evaluate how much our project may cost, we were treated with honestly and integrity. We didn’t have a large budget like it appeared some of their other clients did have, and despite our initial trepidation that we may not be able to afford to engage their services, we believed in the value of design. Darren assure us that they could help us work within a budget, but we were still worried it might be out of our reach.
After a LOT of research and souls searching, we decided we wanted to invest in someone to help us bring what we wanted for our home to life through the design. It was a scary though as we knew what we liked but don’t know how to get there. That’s where the Darren James team came in and boy oh boy did they deliver!
From day one when Darren came to our house for an initial consultation, it was evident that Daz and the team saw something in our space that we couldn’t. From there, the whole design process saw out humble little 80s brick home turn from cosy but cramped little living areas to the most amazing open living/kitchen/dinning area and bathrooms you could imagine. All this happens with constant consultation and considerations to keep within the budget never altered the overall impact or design. This was SO important to us and it was amazing what we could get done within our budget.
The attention to detail, use of space and overall feel of the spaces in our home make it feel like a new hound bow, and we still just stand in the spaces and smile for no other reason than we are so happy with our home and how it makes us feel. It happens all the time and it’s the best!!!!
There is a large team that helped make our dream home become a reality. From the designers, admin team, site supervisors to the tradies and everyone in between, we have always been treated like we are family. The quality of the work is faultless and the guys delivered us a home that we could not be happier or more comfortable in. It is honestly like loving in a Home Beautiful magazine everyday…..
A short time after we got the keys back, we had our first child and there were a few little things the guys needed to fix up with the house. Our baby arrived 3 weeks early ( I mentioned the short time frame earlier, this was the reason for that!!) and the day we mentioned this, the most beautiful bunch of flowers and well wishes arrived from the DJ team. It was a small gesture, but it was just the most beautiful sentiment and one that our family will always remember and cherish. This is the way these guys work and, as a client, it made us feel so appreciated and special!
In short, if you want your home to be a beautiful space you will be proud of for years to come we can not recommend Darren James Interiors enough for their amazing work. It has honestly been a pleasure for us from start to finish and we could not be happier with how much everything worked out.
