What a cold week is has been here! With the dark mornings lingering and the the nights getting longer, the degrees have definitely dropped these past few days! So with winter well and truly in full (Queensland) force we have been dreaming of nights by the log fire! Definitely something you forget to admit in the summers here, but a fire place in your home is always a must if your space permits.
Whether it’s a traditional log fire, or a modern freestanding gas interpretation – we just love fire places! Not only are they a great solution for warming up the house, but such a beautiful design feature to any space. Using materials, moldings and textures to set the fireplace out and frame it against the rest of the wall is a sure way to create that distinct focal point to your living or dining room.
