Last week we treated you to the perfect blend of sophistication and colour in the Entry, Living & Outdoor Spaces of our Underwood House. Now, it’s time to take you upstairs as we introduce you to the bedrooms in this beautiful home.
A good nights sleep is the bane of every new parents life, let alone when you have twins!! It may sound like an old chestnut but creating a beautiful sleep environment really can make all the difference when it comes to a good nights sleep – even if it is a little distracting.
With gorgeous views of the outdoors and overlooking the pool, we really wanted to create a space that the clients could retreat to and enjoy. We blended the natural colours from the outdoors and introduced fun and fresh tones in the art to compliment and enhance the overall organic warmth of the space. The layering of relaxed linen was key to softening the space.
Rather than a traditional ottoman bed end, we incorporated a sofa at the foot of the bed which provides additional seating for the couple to enjoy the views beyond!
We incorporated fun elements into the master ensuite by layering up a simple walnut and marble tray with practical yet stylish pieces to complete the look.
THE KIDS ROOMS
Kids rooms are so much fun to design especially when our amazing clients trust our creative vision and let us play with pattern, texture and colour to create such different spaces.
Wallpaper is one of our favourite ways to set the scene for a space. With a soft jungle theme requested by the client, we were able to draw from the colours in the wallpaper selections to create a fresh and fun colour palette that still has longevity as the kids grow older.
When designing a guest bedroom, boutique bedding and ensuring attention to all the smaller details is a must! We used thoughtfully sourced european flax linen in moody neutrals to ensure our clients guests always have a comfortable stay. We layered the room in a beautiful textured rug with tassels to add to the relaxed vibe.
Thanks for following our photo reveal of our Underwood House project! We will be sharing a Q&A video with the designers of this project very soon, so stay tuned!
