Last Friday we attended the HIA Gold Coast & Northern Rivers Housing Awards! Considering it was our first awards night in what feels like forever, we were pretty stoked to just be finishing off a long week with some champagne and good company.
Overall it was a great night, with our Gold Coast projects taking home a total of 4 Awards! We are so grateful to have these opportunities to celebrate all our hard work – it really makes all the challenges and obstacles we face so much more worth it!
So without further ado, let us introduce you to the Award Winning projects…
Main Beach Apartment – Renovation Project $300,000 to $600,000 Winner
With generous ocean views across Main Beach, the two-bedroom, now two-bathroom apartment set with kitchen, living and balcony space creates a property which is perfect for weekends away to soak up time with family and friends. As avid entertainers, the couple wanted to create a modern ‘light and airy’ home on the coast to escape to from the hustle and bustle of their city life. The dated characteristics of the existing apartment brought the style of the space back down to the 1980’s era it was built in with the stucco ceiling and typical 80’s palette. The project was basically a full apartment gut from floor to ceiling, working in with minimal changes to wall + plumbing locations due to engineering restrictions. We’re super happy with how this transformation turned out!
Southport House – Renovation Project $600,000 to $1 million + Kitchen Project Over $200,000 + Renovation of the Year Winner
Set in the seaside neighbourhood of Southport on the Gold Coast, this home is a large two-storey home featuring a 6-car basement garage, multiple large living and dining areas, 6 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and a generous master suite including walk-in robe and ensuite. From the beginning we knew this project was going to be a big one – with full concrete basement conversion, new mudroom, kitchen w/ scullery, family room, rumpus, sports bar, study and overall update to the paint, carpet + window coverings throughout. All while still paying homage to the original architecture and style of the home.
More coming on this exciting project in the coming weeks as we reveal the other spaces – but for now you can enjoy the full basement reveal here, or check out a few sneak peeks of the kitchen + living spaces below…
Next up – the HIA Brisbane Awards with the team on the 14th of October!
