GREG NATALE BOOK LAUNCH WITH DESIGNER RUGS –
WEDNESDAY 24TH OCTOBER
We had a wonderful night at the Designer Rugs showroom on Wednesday for the launch of Greg Natale’s new book ‘The Patterned Interior’. This event sure was a wonderful one to kick off the week, and what better than one of our favourite designers hosted by one of our favourite rug companies! Was lovely to hear all about Natale’s unique insights into all things design, heritage and industry. His new book is a well narrated series of powerful imagery, simplistic chapters of text and eye catching double page spreads! He has an innovative way of capturing the capabilities and importance of colour and pattern in design and the ways they can be applied in new ways. It was so insightful to hear about the diversity and character behind his interiors and see the beautiful photography collated in this signature Greg Natale hardcover – Even left with a copy of if for ourselves!
DEKTON INDUSTRIAL EXTENSION LAUNCH –
THURSDAY 25TH OCTOBER
The following night took us to West End’s ‘The Joinery‘ in Brisbane, for Dekton’s Industrial Extension product launch! Was a fun night full of food, drinks, industry networking and some exciting new products! Dekton’s latest collection designed by Daniel Germani, is made up of a selection of aged and organically weathered surfaces which celebrate the beauty in imperfection. Each new finish demonstrates a rustic yet artistic vision of how oxidized or matured materials can be utilized in many every day applications! This unique look is fairly bold, although we think it could be used as a feature, layered with other softer finishes – plus the make up of 80% recycled material is an added environmental win!
EARP BROTHERS SHOWROOM LAUNCH, BRISBANE –
FRIDAY 26TH OCTOBER
What a night! Had an fun time at Earp Brothers beautiful new showroom space in Brisbane! They combined their official showroom launch with the companies grand 135th Birthday, so what better occasion to spend sharing some drinks and nibbles with a lovely handful of fellow industry! The new showroom is a converted loft apartment space, which celebrates the industrial bones and character of its past life! We loved the story behind this space and how it is just the perfect canvas to all the beautiful stone Earp Brothers is renowned for! The wine and gin bars in combination with the delicious detailed horderves was also a very well appreciated bonus!
