Darren James wins Runner-up Best Bathroom and at 2012 Abode Design Awards
Big congrats to our design director Darren James who took out Runner-up Best Kitchen and Runner-up Best Bathroom at the 2012 Abode House of the Year Awards held last night at Melbourne’s Crown Casino. The awards reward excellence in Australian residential design and construction and celebrate those who excel in their industry. Like-minded architects, building designers, interior designers, builders and developers were all invited to submit their best work for consideration. The theme for this year’s awards was ‘Looking to the Future’ – in their words “we are celebrating the metamorphosis of built form and the professionals who not only meet the requirements of our way of life, but are going beyond to be excellent in their fields of expertise.”

To create an open plan, luxury master ensuite and pamper zone where this young couple can retreat and bathe away the stresses of the day. Heavily focused on style and function the ensuite bathroom had to service the couple by way of good storage and high quality designer bathroom products that oozed style and a sense of individualism. It had to be easy to care for and maintain and it had to compliment the interior design and overall theme of this contemporary home.
