Nothing like the reveal of this light and bright interior refresh to cheer up everyone’s rainy start to the week! We had so much fun with this beautiful home, as it was a great canvas to begin with but was in need of a fresh breath of life. The client wanted to keep aspects of the existing Hampton’s style while adding new touches of industrial personality and material, through varying colour applications which we were able to work this in seamlessly.
A new Ross Gardam Ora pendant and Gubi mirror was firstly added to the entry way to open up the space and give it the height and dimension it needed! The new Soho marble console table combined with the reupholstered leather bench seat aiding in introducing that industrial edge upon entering the home, however was softened with blue hues, brass fittings and soft blush cushions.
Once making your way down the entry hall you are meet with the bold blue wallpaper of the study nook space, framing both the angled ceiling, built in joinery, and exciting floral artworks. This study nook wall is then beautifully contrasted by the organic sandstone feature wall on the adjacent side of the living area! With the ceiling sloping up the alternate way, the stone runs from floor to ceiling, framed along the bottom by the custom designed concrete TV / fireplace unit. We can’t get enough of this solid concrete slab unit complimented by the walnut timber paneling along the underside! We paired the warm tan leather lounge together with this walnut timber to add continuity, whilst also forming an eye catching contrast between the cooler blue tones, black detail finishes and those warm hues. This scheme was also carried out to the outdoor alfresco area, with a solid timber bench seat accompanied by custom made navy upholstered seat cushions.
This lovely home just goes to show how much of an impact can be made with only a few simple surface changes and well thought out styling refresh!
