As we close out the month of October, and try to get our heads around where on earth that month went! We wanted to pause to take a look back and reflect on what has inspired our Design Team this month?
It is so important as a Designer to stimulate your creative mind and inject new experiences and offerings into your weeks to spark that constantly desired inspiration! There’s creative inspiration everywhere so sometimes its about stopping, taking in it and morphing that special thing into your next project.
So whether its a new place, new artist, event or an industry experience – we wanted to share what has inspired our Designers this month and encourage you to reflect in the same way!

Recent event – Industry on Arthur
“The Industry On Arthur Event in Fortitude Valley was definitely a highlight for me for the month of October – Not only was it such a great opportunity to learn about new products ranging from furnishing pieces, flooring & lighting. It’s also such a fun social event being able to talk all things design over a glass of champagne with your colleagues as well as meeting new people in the industry! Safe to say my feet were sore by the end of the night.”

Recent design project
“This past month I really dove into the concepts on a new project of ours in Bardon. The style of the home and interior was changing and provided an opportunity to bring in texture, warmth, and lots of natural materials. To find inspiration for this I spent hours and hours on Instagram and Pinterest and studied the work of a few of my favourite US designers such as Studio Giancarlo Valle, Jake Arnold, and Anthology Interiors. It is one of my favourite concepts to date and I cannot wait to see this project come to life”

Industry Event – AWIC Awards Night
“This month Darren and I attended the AWIC Awards night at Cloudland thanks to our friends at Oliveri. It was such a fun night celebrating all the amazing achievements of some of the industries finest. I was blown away by the powerhouse of women in the industry and sheer talent among them. So inspiring to see so many of us in the industry kicking goals!”

Great Dane Showroom Visit + Lunch
“Food and Scandinavian inspired design – what more could I want! It was great to see Great Dane back in Brisbane and visit their beautiful new showroom space”

French Artist – Baptiste Lanne
“This month I have been inspired by French Artist Baptiste Lanne. His use of organic materials and how all his pieces are handcrafted. It’s a nice reminder that often the simplicity of design is just as stunning as the detailed.”
